Course development

Given the broad selection of topics, I propose to narrow down the numbers of topics a bit. For example using PCA for immunization against higher order changes in the zero rate curves. While interesting, it takes time, and introduces a hurdle for students not familiar with PCA . It may be worth considering to either extend and deepen, or remove the section on hedging insurance claims. For example, applications to life insurance are good, but require introduction of basic life insurance definitions (force of mortality, etc) that are a bit off path from the actual course content. One could consider to introduce additional 'challenge' exercises for highly interested students.
