Course contents
Intended learning outcomes
The expected learning outcomes for the course lie mainly at the level A2, with certain elements at the level B1, according to CEFR, the Common European Framework of References for Languages.
On completion of the course, the student, in addition to what is evident from courses at the lower level, should be able to:
- use the language orally and in writing in everyday situations and simple work situations (A2)
- understand and distinguish the main contents in clear standard spoken French about well-known subject areas (A2/B1)
- identify and account in Swedish for facts from authentic technology-related texts.
- hold a short individually-prepared presentation in the target language (A2/B1)
- account for more important realia about French-speaking countries and seek information related to their history, societies, geography, culture and technical development.

Specific prerequisites
General entry requirements. Completed and passed French A1 or the equivalent knowledge showed through a compulsory placement test done before course choice.

Based on recommendation from KTH’s coordinator for disabilities, the examiner will decide how to adapt an examination for students with documented disability.
The examiner may apply another examination format when re-examining individual students.
