Exhibition: Towards the energy of the future

Published Feb 09, 2023

Today we know that the world's energy system must be fundamentally transformed. It is a precondition for us to be able to slow down climate change and create a sustainable society. And we all have important roles to play in the transformation. But how do we change something that we can't see?

The exhibition is on display 20 February – 30 March 2023

Starting Monday, 20 February, visitors can see and experience the exhibition Towards the energy of the future - the invisible revolution behind the electrical outlet displayed at KTH Library. The exhibition is a collaboration between the library and KTH Energy Platform , which connects over 450 researchers in 30 research groups related to energy issues. The exhibition is based on KTH's Energy Platform's popular science anthology  with the same name, written by some of Sweden's leading energy researchers in collaboration with the Vetenskap & Allmänhet association.

The exhibition aims to raise awareness of the important energy issue and the knowledge gathered in the anthology, and will showcase illustrations from the book made by Lotta Waesterberg Tomasson, as well as books and objects related to energy and electricity. As part of the exhibition, students from KTH's Electrical Engineering program will also showcase exciting projects that connect to the contents of the anthology, made with materials and equipment from the student-driven ELAB  and Studentverkstan . Visitors are also invited to share their reflections and ideas on the subject of energy.

In conjunction with the exhibition, three popular science lectures will be held at KTH Library, based on the anthology.

Warmly welcome to KTH Library's entrance hall and the exhibition Towards the energy of the future - the invisible revolution behind the electrical outlet.'
