Startups and spinoffs from KTH have secured over 150 million SEK in funding and investment this spring. From the world's fastest image annotation system to bone glue, here are the teams to keep track of.
Despite the special situation this spring, many of the teams we currently support, and our alumni have made great achievements worth celebrating. Here are some of them!
Millions in competitive EU funding
Since the start of the new competitive European Innovation council acceleration program, nine Swedish startups have been accepted, and three of them started their journey with support from KTH Innovation; Gleechi , TADA Medical AB and Invoier . Swedish innovators share 314 million Euro in EU support.
SuperAnnotate raises 30 MSEK
Research-based spinoff SuperAnnotate secured a 30MSEK investment and were featured in Business Insider , TechCrunch , tech.eu and more.
5 MSEK for Volta Greentech to reduce cow burps
Volta Greentech , Batch 10 of the KTH Innovation pre -incubator program, brought in 5 MSEK and were featured by Fast Company .
Nine KTH startups got Vinnova funding
Nine KTH startups, most of them currently or previously from the got funding in Vinnova’s Innovative Startup call: Univid , Rental Sense , ipercept , Andning Med , Voyley , Exciscope , Finecell , Budkeep and Volta Greentech .
Spotyet adapted to the pandemic
SpotYet , Batch 10 of the KTH Innovation pre-incubator program, came up with and developed a whole new product: SpotYet Virtual, a Slack bot that randomly connects people for a quick social meetup. Since then, they’ve optimized the app and tried new solutions adapted to our new situation.
