Environmental Management and Assessment (EMA) research group

The Environmental Management and Assessment (EMA) research group comprises a multi-disciplinary group of scientists working together to promote a sustainable use of the environment. Projects range from participatory catchment management to producing transboundary GIS datasets for the management of water resources, as well as development of methods and tools for biodiversity-inclusive environmental assessment.

The research is developed in the interface between science, technology and society, for a better integration of scientific knowledge in societal institutions. The aim is to analyse interacting systems for targeting solutions that promote a long-term sustainable development.
