Course evaluations are being automated in Canvas
Surveys are automated for some courses in P2 and for all courses starting P3

Course surveys and course analyses will soon be published automatically in Canvas for all courses. This means that you will always have the opportunity to give your opinion on the course.
New and improved course survey for all courses
At the end of each course, a course survey is automatically published in the course room in Canvas. The course surveys follow a new, common template so that all courses can be followed up in a uniform way. Course analyses will also be published automatically in Canvas for each course so that you can always see survey results and teacher reflections.
Automatic course evaluations are being tested for some courses in study period 2, autumn semester 2024, and will apply to all courses from study period 3, spring semester 2025.
With the new solution, it will be easier for students to answer surveys, for teachers to distribute and manage answers, and for the quality work to effectively analyse and follow up the results – both in the short and long term. It is a big step forward in the work with course evaluation.
Course evaluation, step by step
All students have a say in the course
Your views as a student play an important role in the development of KTH's courses. By taking the time to answer the surveys, you are not only helping to shape the courses of the future – you are also helping to preserve what already works well. As course surveys are now created automatically for all courses, we ensure that all students have the opportunity to give their thoughts on the course.
A tool for improvement
The aim of the new survey is to strengthen the quality of courses and programmes. To be able to develop the programme further, we need a broad participation from students. The more people who respond, the better the basis we get to make the courses even better and more relevant. Your involvement is important for KTH's quality work to be successful. Your response to the survey and contributitons with constructive feedback in course meetings and to course management is the key to KTH continuing to offer education of the highest quality.
The system has been in development for a year
The new system has been developed for little over a year. Templates, processes and timeframes have been developed in collaboration with, among others, the Faculty Council, Directors of First and Second Cycle Education, quality coordinators and a reference group (including THS) for the project. The system was also tested for a number of courses in P1 and P2, autumn semester 2024.
