China: Tsinghua University Global Research Program
Tsinghua University is one of the oldest traditional technical universities in China located in Beijing. Adopting a “Lab Immersion + Faculty Mentorship + University-Wide Platform” model, this program allows students to engage in cutting-edge research at Tsinghua’s laboratories, for six weeks or more. Admitted students will be fully engaged in hands-on laboratory research without coursework obligations, receive one-on-one academic guidance from Tsinghua’s distinguished faculty, and experience authentic campus life and multicultural exposure
The program requires a minimum commitment of 6 weeks. However, the specific schedule is flexible and can be arranged directly with your host laboratory to suit your availability.

Eligibility requirements
- Non-Mainland Chinese citizen or non-permanent resident of Mainland China.
- Currently enrolled as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student at KTH (must have completed at least one year of undergraduate study before starting the program).
- Minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0 or equivalent.
- Proficient in English (Chinese not required).
- Strong motivation and interest in research.
Application process
- Contact KTH's regional advisor for a chance to get nominated. If nominated, you will receive further information regarding the application.
- Find a supervisor at Tsinghua University. KTH's regional advisor will share information on how to proceed.
- Make a formal online application to Tsinghua before the end of Mars, 2026.
