Course development
AG2171 Futures Studies and Forecasts 7.5 credits
On this page, you can track the course's development over time. Once the course analysis is published, data for each course offering is displayed, including the number of registered students, course results, and planned improvements for the next session. All course syllabuses and course memos are shown on the page Archive.
The information can help prospective, current, and former students with course selection, or to follow up on their own participation. Teachers, course coordinators, examiners, program directors, and others can use the page as a resource for course development.

Changes planned for the next course offering
We will look into how we offer supervision to literature assignment. Some students felt it came too early, but for others, this supported an early start. We need to think through how to balance this.
Some students find the literature assignment challenging. On the other hand we as teachers can see they learnt a lot. We might change the description of the literature assignment, to highlight even further that the point is to learn about futures studies, rather than to evaluate a plan. We might add an option to select any plan, instead of just Stockholm or Bristol.
Ensure to have the same WS-leaders for the whole session in the scenario-WS.

Autumn 2024-50427 ( Start date 28 Oct 2024, English )
Changes planned for the next course offering
* A new supervision opportunity with peer-comments in December
* Demand to refer to page numbers in literature assignment (to avoid unreflected use of AI-support)
* Review of formulation of literature assignment, to highlight the main task
* In general the course seems to have worked well, so the changes will be made with care
