On this page, you can track the course's development over time. Once the course analysis is published, data for each course offering is displayed, including the number of registered students, course results, and planned improvements for the next session. All course syllabuses and course memos are shown on the page Archive.

The information can help prospective, current, and former students with course selection, or to follow up on their own participation. Teachers, course coordinators, examiners, program directors, and others can use the page as a resource for course development.

2025

Autumn 2025-50812 ( Start date 25 Aug 2025, English )

Changes planned for the next course offering

• Change the lab report format to working in partners (like random assignment) • Ensure all mandatory sessions are clearly indicated on the schedule on Canvas from the first day of the course. The three seminars about air contaminants will be marked as mandatory. • We plan to have a summary lecture that combines the two main course topics and what is different and common about measurement uncertainty (and variability) but also discuss pros and cons with dividing exposure on several people for air contaminants and noise and vibration exposures. • The students doing air contaminant measurements will continue to get a manual together with the instrument they are going to use. They will also be offered a Zoom introduction to the instrument, if they request this.

Changes introduced for this course offering
This was the second offering of the course, and included only minor adjustments from the first offering. Most of the changes related to having a very small class and needing to adapt the peer-review activities by using (with permission) student reports from the previous year.

Overall the feedback from surveys and in-class learning reflections was positive, with some specific opportunities to improve. Specifically, more cases and practical scenarios as well as hands-on time making measurements with the equipment could be incorporated. We have identified a technical fix for the Canvas quiz difficulties described by students. There is a wish for making the time for the 2 exam parts combined so students can be flexible about where to spend their time.
