Based on the student feedback, several changes will be made for the upcoming course offering. The Canvas page will be reorganized to make the course structure, passing requirements, assessment purposes, grading, and Fx procedure clearer. The roles of the laboratories and project will also be clarified to strengthen the connection between theory and practical implementation. The course schedule will also be adjusted so that the project is completed two weeks before the written exam. This is intended to reduce overlap between major tasks, support better exam preparation, and create a smoother learning progression. These planned changes respond directly to the feedback on course structure, progress support, practical implementation, and project timing.

To enhance the DM1580 Video Technology course and better support student learning, several improvements are planned. Learning objectives and expectations will be made clearer to ensure students understand what is required throughout the course. More structured opportunities for students to track their own progress, such as regular feedback and check-ins, will be introduced to increase guidance. Efforts will also be made to distribute the workload more evenly, particularly during intensive periods, to reduce stress and support steady progress. Communication will be improved through clearer updates, more interactive teaching moments, and accessible support. In addition, assessments will be explained more clearly, with a stronger link to course goals, so that students can better understand their purpose and evaluation criteria. These adjustments aim to create a more effective, engaging, and supportive course environment.
