Changes planned for the next course offering

• Clarify the course structure and expectations. Provide clearer, more detailed instructions for assignments and simulations. Better align readings with simulation tasks to strengthen the link between theory and practice. • Enhance Communication and Information Flow Revise how course information is shared in Canvas and during lectures/seminars to ensure students can easily access accurate and timely updates. • Enhance Seminar Engagement and Structure Revise the seminar and examination formats, including clear objectives, preparatory materials, and participation expectations to boost student preparedness and engagement. • Enhance Assessment Design Revise the assessment strategy to better represent learning outcomes and ensure students understand the purpose and criteria of each assignment. • Provide Consistent, Constructive Feedback. Standardise feedback processes to ensure all students receive timely, useful input on their progress. For example, clarify how and when ChatGPT is used or not used, and why. • Address student attitudes and participation. Set explicit norms for classroom conduct and academic responsibility early in the course to foster a more respectful and productive learning environment, including reviewing the code of conduct in person at the beginning of the course.
