On this page, you can track the course's development over time. Once the course analysis is published, data for each course offering is displayed, including the number of registered students, course results, and planned improvements for the next session. All course syllabuses and course memos are shown on the page Archive.
The information can help prospective, current, and former students with course selection, or to follow up on their own participation. Teachers, course coordinators, examiners, program directors, and others can use the page as a resource for course development.
2025
Autumn 2025-50919 ( Start date 25 Aug 2025, English )
Changes planned for the next course offering
Previously, the three topics in the course, Thermodynamics, Kinetics and Processes, were given as three exams worth 2HP. They are now combined into one 6HP exam to allow questions to be asked across topics, although that was not implemented in 2025 due to time limitations, as the examiner (the same person as the course leader) returned from an extended period on parental leave on the day of the first lecture and so had severely limited time to implement significant changes to the course.

Course analysis MH2054: 26 Nov 2024Changes introduced for this course offering
One particular thing that was changed is that the design and examination of LAB1 was modified. The assignment was set up to give students freedom to suggest their own ideas on how to use electrification to promote sustainability and a circular economy in any metal producing process. The students were asked to make posters to explain their ideas. The examination took place at Alleima in Hallstahammar where 20 people from the company and 4 KTH teachers examined the results.Course data has been registered manually
