This course is a project course, open to 2nd year students of the Program in Electric Power Engineering (TELPM). The course consists of a project in which students in a group develop a control system solution for some predefined power system challenges.
The course consists of a small set of lectures intended primarily to provide a starting point for the work. In addition, there are some lectures and one seminar on the topic of project management in order to guide the work and expose the students to challenges in planning and executing a project.
The work in the course is guided by one supervisor from the department that provides guidance on the chosen topic, and provides a starting point with regards to reference literature etc. The project solutions are all developed towards target power system models, and the developed solutions are to be implemented as Java programs.
