Supplementary information

The Microsystem Technology (MST) Lab offers both internal and external Master thesis projects.

In the internal projects you are given a task in one of our ongoing research projects. The work is normally carried out at the department and we will appoint a supervisor to guide you in the work.

The external projects are often carried out in cooperation with a company. You will then solve a company-specific problem with supervision from someone at the company. You will also have a supervisor from MST, but normally the day-to-day supervision will be provided by the company. The MST supervisor will then mainly help you structure the report so that if fills our requirements on a Master thesis report.

If you are a KTH-EE student we can accept you as a master thesis student provided we have a suitable project that matches your competence. Students from other schools at KTH must have a permission from their school. Also students from universities with which KTH has regular exchange agreements can normally be accepted under the exchange agreement. Students from other universities may in some cases be accepted on a case by case basis provided that they have competence for the project and that they can show that their home university will validate the thesis work.
