Based on recommendation from KTH’s coordinator for disabilities, the examiner will decide how to adapt an examination for students with documented disability.
The examiner may apply another examination format when re-examining individual students.
If the course is discontinued, students may request to be examined during the following two academic years.
The course consists of one module: the final degree project (XUPP). The degree project is normally carried out during the last semester of the study programme. To pass the degree project, the student’s performance must fulfill the expected learning outcomes of the course, and the requirements for the final grade must be met. The student is required to follow, carry out, and deliver all stages of the thesis process in the following order:
- Project Description
- Midterm Presentation
- Draft Delivery
- Final Thesis Submission
- Presentation of the approved degree project report
Each stage requires the approval of the previous stage.
To receive a final grade in this course, students must attend at least 80% of scheduled course activities.
The overall course grade will be awarded on a Pass–Fail (P–F) scale.
The degree project should be connected to sustainable development.
Regardless of the type of work, whether theoretical, design-based, or experiment-based, students are expected to include a practical component based on first-hand source material produced for the project. Examples include, but are not limited to: experiments, interviews, photographic documentation of a space, and lighting measurements.
