Course contents
The work content is designed individually from case to case, depending on the student's personal interest and direction, and availability of an appropriate task.
Intended learning outcomes
After the course the students should be able to
- apply relevant knowledge and skills acquired in the technology area to a given problem
- within established limits/framework, even with limited information, independently analyze and discuss complex issues, and deal with major problems at the advanced level in the technology area
- reflect upon and critically review their own and others' scientific achievements
- document and present ones own work, for a given target group, with the highest standards of structure, formality and language management
- identify the need for further knowledge and continuously upgrade ones own skills

Specific prerequisites
For students admitted to Master's Programme 120 credits:
To begin the degree project advanced level requires that the majority of studies, at least 60 credits within the Masters Programme, must be completed before the degree project begins
Recommended prerequisites
The main portion of your studies must be completed - 60 credits.

If the course is discontinued, students may request to be examined during the following two academic years.

- XUPP - Examination Question, 30.0 credits, grading scale: A, B, C, D, E, FX, F
Based on recommendation from KTH’s coordinator for disabilities, the examiner will decide how to adapt an examination for students with documented disability.
The examiner may apply another examination format when re-examining individual students.
Other requirements for final grade
The degree project should be presented in written report and presented at a seminar. Much care should be taken to how the report is formed, especially with consideration to language. The degree project can be written and presented in Swedish or English. A summary should be written in both languages.
