Content and learning outcomes

Course contents

Seminars each week (1 student presentation/occasion) where the presenting student prepares a presentation and explain the background, results and implications of recently published findings. This is followed by active discussions with the audience, where the participants are expected to critically discuss the validity of the results and implications.

Intended learning outcomes

The participants should gain increasing knowledge in critically interpreting, presenting and discussing relevant scientific literature in Glycoscience, both their own results and those published by other groups in international research journals.
The participants should be able to identify relevant scientific literature, critically assess the experimental results, and discuss the implications in the specific field and in the larger scientific context.
The participants should be able to present and discuss the scientific results to an audience of researchers and PhD students, including persons whose research does not necessarily relate to the specific topics and areas presented.
