Content and learning outcomes

Course contents

Computer based exercises in accounting and file handling.
Exercises with word processors and calculation programs.

Intended learning outcomes

The aim of this course is to give the student basic knowledge of computers and to get the students familiar with the computer equipment that will be a central role as aid for exercise and development tools through their whole education.

Specially the course will give the student the ability to:

  • Through the education know how to use the available networks and know how to use the public computers to access their personal accounts and to do file transactions
  • Know how to use word processor and calculation programs in the school environment so that lab reports, written exercises, and degree projects can be made with these tools

Examination and completion

If the course is discontinued, students may request to be examined during the following two academic years.

  • RED1 - Report, 1.5 fup, grading scale: P, F

Based on recommendation from KTH’s coordinator for disabilities, the examiner will decide how to adapt an examination for students with documented disability.

The examiner may apply another examination format when re-examining individual students.

To pass the student needs to participate in some lectures and have passed some exercises in the course.
