Upon completion of the course the student should be able to construct server side programs (with various techniques) that communicate over Internet with the HTTP-protocol.
For single course students the following is required:
Preliminary
Stobart, Parsons: Dynamic Web Application Development using PHP and MySQL, Cengage Learning, 2008
Based on recommendation from KTH’s coordinator for disabilities, the examiner will decide how to adapt an examination for students with documented disability.
The examiner may apply another examination format when re-examining individual students.
If the course is discontinued, students may request to be examined during the following two academic years.
A number of practical assignments must be made. They are divided into three parts:
- Part 1: Introductionary fixed assignments (pass/fail)
- Part 2: More advanced less fixed assignments (pass/fail)
- Part 3: A summarizing free assignment (and voluntary assignments) (A/B/C/D/E/Fx/F)
Note that the total grade is determined by the grade on part 3. For a higher grade more in-depth assignments must be made. The summarizing free assignment must also be increasingly better for a higher grade. This is described in detail on the course homepage.
Distance learning course.
