Intended learning outcomes

Upon completion of the course the student should be able to construct programs (with various techniques) that communicate over Internet with specific XML-based protocols.

Literature and preparations

Specific prerequisites

For single course students:

  • A B Sc degree/180 hp in Information Technology, Informaion Systems, Computer Sciences or corresponding subject and
  • documented proficiency in Swedish B and English A or equivalent.

Recommended prerequisites

Knowledge of Java.

Examination and completion

Examination

  • INLA - Assignment, 3.0 credits, grading scale: P, F
  • INLB - Assignment, 3.0 credits, grading scale: P, F
  • INLC - Assignment, 1.5 credits, grading scale: A, B, C, D, E, FX, F

Based on recommendation from KTH’s coordinator for disabilities, the examiner will decide how to adapt an examination for students with documented disability.

The examiner may apply another examination format when re-examining individual students.

A number of practical assignments must be made. They are divided into three parts:

- Part 1: Introductionary fixed assignments (P/F)

- Part 2: More advanced less fixed assignments (P/F)

- Part 3: A summarizing free assignment (and voluntary assignments) (A/B/C/D/E/Fx/F).

Note that the total grade is determined by the grade on part 3.
