Intended learning outcomes
The use of computers in music creating music is ubiquitous.
The course aims to deliver an introduction to computer music regarding history, acoustics,
tools, composition and practical work.
The participants will be able to:
- use tools for music creation: audio synthesis, sampling, audio editing and mixing
- use knowledge of history and computer music composition techniques in music creation
- perform elemantary analysis of computer music works

- PRO1 - Project Work, 7.5 credits, grading scale: P, F
Based on recommendation from KTH’s coordinator for disabilities, the examiner will decide how to adapt an examination for students with documented disability.
The examiner may apply another examination format when re-examining individual students.
If the course is discontinued, students may request to be examined during the following two academic years.
Project work consisting of audio editing exercise and composition of an exam concert piece.
Grades: P/F. The requirement for P is completed project work.
