IV2016 Projekt och maktspel 7,5 hp

organisation, group dynamics and project methodology
Each student will participate in 7 seminars where the student is trained to be a leader
We will study theories concerning human relationships, negotiation and conflict resolution
We will study theories about game theory and experiment with various strategies in how to gain power in a competitive environment
We will study the art of delegating responsibility and power without losing control
During the whole course there is a focus on communication skills

The student should be familiar with practical and theoretical knowledge concerning:
- project design
- work performance
- personal development
- leadership
- motivation
The student should be able to carry out power games in organizations and specifically know:
- How to negotiate to win
- How to handle group processes end personal empowerment
- How to present and argue for complex ideas
based on rhetorical principles
- How to promote creativity and innovation
- How to diagnose organisational cultures
- How to measure work performance
- How to control the workforce

For singlecourse students:

• Completed documented upper secondary education incl documented proficiency in English and
• 180 ECTS university credits (hp)

När kurs inte längre ges har student möjlighet att examineras under ytterligare två läsår.

• INL1 - Inlämningsuppgift, 4,5 hp, betygsskala: A, B, C, D, E, FX, F
• TEN1 - Tentamen, 3,0 hp, betygsskala: A, B, C, D, E, FX, F

Examinator beslutar, baserat på rekommendation från KTH:s handläggare av stöd till studenter med funktionsnedsättning, om eventuell anpassad examination för studenter med dokumenterad, varaktig funktionsnedsättning.

Examinator får medge annan examinationsform vid omexamination av enstaka studenter.

The course is examined through an assignment and a written examination, both graded according to A/B/C/D/E/Fx/F.

When the whole course shall be graded there will be an initial check of the results from the written examination. If this result is close to any of the limits there will be a check of the results from the assignment which can then raise or decrease the grade for the whole course.
