The course gives an introduction to parts of the scientific communication process with a focus on the following three domains:

process, information retrieval in domains related to technology, science and medicine

Evaluation of Scientific Sources: primary and secondary sources, criteria for credibility, contrasting and arguing for different perspectives of a science-related question
- Research Documentation: handling of sources of information in text, how to avoid plagiarism through good citation practice, bibliographical referencing
