Intended learning outcomes
The expected learning outcomes for the course lie mainly at the levels B1/B2 according to CEFR, The Common European Framework of References for Languages.
On completion of the course, the student, in addition to what is evident from courses at the lower level, should be able to:
Listening comprehension:
· understand the contents in standard spoken French about general subject areas/phenomena (B2)
Reading comprehension
· understand and account for authentic texts that treat current questions around technology-related subjects and working life (B2)
Speech and interaction
· talk and argue in an informal way about subjects of personal interest or linked to studies, work, and current events (B1)
· summarise texts of general and/or technical nature orally (B1/B2)
· hold an individual prepared talk of specialised nature (B1/B2)
Written production
· summarise texts of general and/or technical nature in writing (B1/B2)
