Intended learning outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, the student should be able to:
- define concepts, explain phenomena and use correct terminology within the relevant subject area
- describe the function and use of common machines, equipment and manufacturing systems
- explain principles, specify conditions and describe the results of various manufacturing methods
- carry out manufacturing-related calculations
- operate equipment for sheet metal forming, welding and casting with the aid of instructions.

- LAB1 - Laboratory Exercises, 3.0 credits, grading scale: P, F
- TEN1 - Written exam, 1.5 credits, grading scale: A, B, C, D, E, FX, F
Based on recommendation from KTH’s coordinator for disabilities, the examiner will decide how to adapt an examination for students with documented disability.
The examiner may apply another examination format when re-examining individual students.
If the course is discontinued, students may request to be examined during the following two academic years.
