IMAP Settings for KTH E-mail

Through your IMAP settings you will be able to access your KTH e-mail account from an e-mail client.

Connection to the e-mail server with an e-mail client

To read your e-mail, you can use an e-mail client such as Thunderbird.

There are some parameters that have to be entered into the settings for these applications:

Settings for receiving e-mail (incoming)

• Server: webmail.kth.se
• Port: 993
• Protocol: SSL/TLS
• Authentication: Normal password
  Some e-mail clients do not have the Normal Password option. Then you should choose the "PLAIN" login method instead.

Settings for sending e-mail (outgoing)

• Server: smtp.kth.se
• Port: 587
• Protocol: STARTTLS
• Authentication: Normal password
  Some e-mail clients do not have the Normal Password option. Then you should choose the "PLAIN" login method instead.

Password

You are not allowed to save your user credentials from KTH to any other e-mail supplier, such as Gmail or similar.

You have accepted this condition in your user agreement between you and KTH that you signed.
