As far as I know, you can register in the courseSD1105 any time during the academic year. there are no formal classes held in this course but you are always welcome to discuss what you find difficult with course instructor in his office. For that you have to agree on some time and day with instructor through email.
For registration. you can show up in instructor's office and he will immediately register you and give you some material also for preparation and a set of questions to practice. Your official registration will be completed when you also get yourself registered through your own department.Your department will officially register you on 'bilda' and then you will be able to follow your course progress online.
The exam in this course is not like conventional 3hour or 5hour written exam in examination hall but it will be a take home exam. When you are well prepared to collect the take home assignment you have to contact the instructor and tell him I want to collect exam. He will give you some problem to be solved in matlab and then you will have to give a presentation after you have solved it. For this you will be given some days. Based upon your presentation and whether you have solved problem correctly, you will be awarded grade 'Pass' or 'Fail'.
