Course contents
The main focus of the course is to learn how to understand and to use photographic techniques. The following issues are introduced: history of photography, photgraphic techniques, lightning techniques, model photography, architecture photography.
Intended learning outcomes
The course objective is to give a practical and theoretical knowledge of photographic representation. On completing the course, the students shall be able to work independently with photography as a tool for visual communication.

If the course is discontinued, students may request to be examined during the following two academic years.
Grading scale
Examination
- MOM1 - 80% participation on Lectures and Exercises, 3.0 credits, grading scale: P, F
- MOM2 - Assignment, 3.0 credits, grading scale: P, F
Based on recommendation from KTH’s coordinator for disabilities, the examiner will decide how to adapt an examination for students with documented disability.
The examiner may apply another examination format when re-examining individual students.
Other requirements for final grade
To obtain the grade passed, 80% participation on lectures and exercises and accepted assignment is required.
