The course includes a series of 5 lectures dealing with current international research in architecture and design. Parallel to the lectures students will work individually and in seminars with a longer essay. The essay should be around 3500 words in length and attain a quality which is appropriate for publication in an international referee journal.

Course contents *

The course includes a series of 5 lectures dealing with current international research in architecture and design. Parallel to the lectures students will work individually and in seminars with a longer essay, or a research driven design project. The essay should be around 3500 words in length and attain a quality which is appropriate for publication in an international referee journal. The project should be of comparable extension and depth. 

Intended learning outcomes *

To provide students with the ability to apply critical methods for analysis of and reflection on architecture, and to presentat new knowledge through verbal and visual communication.

  • At least 30 credits' university studies.
  • Documented proficiency in English B or equivalent (TOEFL, IELTS e g).
