The main objective of the course is to provide knowledge of the development of architectural conservation, mainly in Europe and Sweden during the 19th and 20th centuries. Course contents *

A series of lectures deal with the history and theory of architectural conservation in 19th and 20th century Europe and Sweden. The course literature, which consists of overviews and source texts, is discussed and examined at seminars. An individual assignment is reported at a final seminar.

Course Disposition

The course is concentrated to six days at KTH. The course literature is examined at seminars. An individual assignment is reported at the end of the course.

Based on recommendation from KTH’s coordinator for disabilities, the examiner will decide how to adapt an examination for students with documented disability.

MOM2, Assignment, 2,5hp, grade P,F

For final grade, both moments have to be passed, and 80% attendance at all tuition is required.
