Intended learning outcomes
The objective of the course is to give the students insight in human experience of architecture and its importance for the design of architecture. The course introduces the students to different theories on the human perception of architecture and spatial behaviour based on neuroscience and architectural psychology. The overall aim is to introduce the students to new approaches to architectural design. After completing the course, the students shall be able to:
- describe different theories about the human process of perception
- link neuroscientific processes in the brain to the human perception of architecture
- apply the new perspectives to the own pofessional work
