Intended learning outcomes

The course aims at understanding of innovation activities and how these are transformed into technological change and economic growth. The lectures introduce concepts such as R&D and productivity, markets for technology, technological diffusions and technology policy. A major problem to be addressed is how firms learn from experience, interaction in innovation systems and R&D efforts.

Specific prerequisites

A completed Bachelor's degree including at least 60 credits in mathematics/economics and documented proficiency in English B or equivalent (TOEFL, IELTS eg).

Based on recommendation from KTH’s coordinator for disabilities, the examiner will decide how to adapt an examination for students with documented disability.

If the course is discontinued, students may request to be examined during the following two academic years.
