Content and learning outcomes

Course contents

The course focuses on advanced research issues in real estate development and financial services.

Part I: Critical analysis of source material

Part II: Individual guest lectures and seminars on disciplinary topics

Parts I and II will run simultaneously and part II will consist of a series of parallel sessions depending on the different program tracks.

Intended learning outcomes

This course aims to introduce students to advanced research issues in real estate development and financial services. After the course students should be able to read and analyse research articles and theses in the area.

Literature and preparations

Specific prerequisites

Students must have passed 75% of the first year's courses in the Masters programme in Real Estate Development and Financial Services.

Literature

Research articles and other literature will be provided at the start of the course.

Examination

  • SEM1 - Seminars, 3.0 credits, grading scale: P, F
  • TEN1 - Examination, 4.5 credits, grading scale: A, B, C, D, E, FX, F

Based on recommendation from KTH’s coordinator for disabilities, the examiner will decide how to adapt an examination for students with documented disability.

The examiner may apply another examination format when re-examining individual students.

If the course is discontinued, students may request to be examined during the following two academic years.

Other requirements for final grade

To pass the course, students must pass the written examination as well as participate in all seminars and exercises and submit assignments.
