Topics that the students would explore are as follows:

• Managing technology and innovation within firms
• Managing intellectual property
• Managing organisational knowledge
• Strategic alliances and networks
• Management of R&D projects/activities
• Product and service innovation
• Managing the new product development process

Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of this paper, students should be able to:

• Critically analyse journal papers in the Technology and Innovation Management (TIM) and New Product Development (NPD) domains;
• Present, debate theories, and apply concepts and issues arising from the assigned readings;
• Critique and conceptualise different ways of conducting research related to the TIM and NPD areas.
