FMF3043 Seminar course for PhD students at MMK part II 1.5 credits

This is a seminar course where the doctoral student actively participates in the half-time seminar in Machine Design. The doctoral student presents and discusses planned, ongoing and completed parts of the disseration work and opposes another doctoral student´s presentation. 

The course is mandatory for students admitted to the doctoral degree who do not intend to complete the lic. seminar

After passing the course, the doctoral student should be able to:

1. Demonstrate the ability to clearly present and discuss research and research results in dialogue with the scientific community, both orally and in writing.
2.  Demonstrate broad knowledge and a systematic understanding of the research area
3. Demonstrate familiarity with scientific methodology in general

Knowledge equivalent to FMF3042 "Seminar course for doctoral students at MMK part I" 1.5 credits

If the course is discontinued, students may request to be examined during the following two academic years.

• INL1 - Half-time seminar, 1.5 credits, grading scale: P, F

Based on recommendation from KTH’s coordinator for disabilities, the examiner will decide how to adapt an examination for students with documented disability.

The examiner may apply another examination format when re-examining individual students.

• In any assessment, every student shall honestly disclose any help received and sources used.
• In an oral assessment, every student shall be able to present and answer questions about the entire assignment and solution.
