Content and learning outcomes

Course contents

The major aim with the course is to give doctoral students in the area of Sustainable development in production a basis for the continued thesis work. Through analysing the research area and current research results, a base is created, a research plan that is presented and discussed by researchers and doctoral students, leading to discussions and exchange of ideas among the participants.

Intended learning outcomes

On completion of the course, the doctoral student should be able to:

  1. Distinguish and show how the own focus area of the doctoral student is related to the general disciplinary research domain of Sustainable development in production and focus areas in this
  2. In writing and orally, critically analyse and relate research results, development tracks and concepts relevant for his/her specific focus area based on publications in the area of Sustainable development in production.
  3. Prepare, present and explain a research plan for his/her focus area, including a theoretical problem formulation of scientific questions, method choices and ethical issues, both in writing and orally.
