The course focuses on the development of climate action related-projects in doctoral education. One of the course output will be on applying new tools and methodologies in climate action research and engagement.
After the completion of this course, the course participants will be able to:
ILO1: Explain key concepts of climate action (mitigation and adaptation) science and the key international agreements in the field
ILO2: Critically apply methods for addressing climate action-related specific challenges
ILO3: Explain and evaluate how the PhD student's research relates to climate action
ILO4: Present a plan to further integrate climate action into selected KTH research topics
Students will be presented with the key material to achieve the knwoledge required in the ILOs, such as online lectures and e-learning material. Furthermore, in agreement with the course examiner the students will design a climate-action related project that fulfills the course intended leardning outcome. Projects could relate to e.g. new climate action research, engagement projects for climate action.

If the course is discontinued, students may request to be examined during the following two academic years.
- INL1 - Written assignments, 4.0 credits, grading scale: P, F
- SEM1 - Seminars, 2.0 credits, grading scale: P, F
Based on recommendation from KTH’s coordinator for disabilities, the examiner will decide how to adapt an examination for students with documented disability.
The examiner may apply another examination format when re-examining individual students.

- All members of a group are responsible for the group's work.
- In any assessment, every student shall honestly disclose any help received and sources used.
