Course contents
Intended learning outcomes
By the end of the course, the student will:
- Have a basic knowledge of the concept of industrial design, both from a theoretical and practical viewpoint.
- Have a basic knowledge of color and form.
- Have insight into industrial designer work methods as well as the role of he industrial designer in the product development process.
Students will exercise their ability to see and understand how the perception of color and form is affected by context.

Specific prerequisites
Basic engineering methodology, HN1900 or the equivalent.

- ÖVN1 - Exercises, 4.5 credits, grading scale: P, F
- PRO1 - Project, 3.0 credits, grading scale: P, F
Based on recommendation from KTH’s coordinator for disabilities, the examiner will decide how to adapt an examination for students with documented disability.
The examiner may apply another examination format when re-examining individual students.
If the course is discontinued, students may request to be examined during the following two academic years.

Project work (PRO1; 4,5 cr.).
