Each group of students selects a project task in tutorial. Project task is to achieve a certain complexity and breadth of the deepening and the integration of at least two different previous courses.The student presents the results in a written report and oral presentation.

Intended learning outcomes
The course deepens previous educational content in a form of a project which apply to a central subject field. The project may be a deeper applied studie or broader and integrated to different subject fields. The course is based on a problem given from a commercial company.The student will apply knowledge from earlier courses of specialization i e method of production, quality, logistics or industrial business management.
After the course, the participants will be able to:
- organize and carry on a project
- work in a project group given different functions and roles
- obtain and assess information
- deepen knowledge within a selected specialization
- write concise and informative reports
- give an oral presentation about problem and result
- have in-depth experience of production and product sourcing process, and working methodology and engineer's role in this
- to apply previously acquired knowledge of the construction materials and production methods which are relevant in today's manufacturing industry
- evaluate how the above things are affected by the economic and environmental aspects

If the course is discontinued, students may request to be examined during the following two academic years.

Based on recommendation from KTH’s coordinator for disabilities, the examiner will decide how to adapt an examination for students with documented disability.
The examiner may apply another examination format when re-examining individual students.
