The course covers concepts, methodologies and technologies for building modern web sites. This includes markup languages, scripting languages, event-driven programming and databases, which are used to create real-world web applications. In addition to technologies, the course also covers architecture and graphical user interfaces.

The course includes concepts and methods to build web applications. This knowledge is practised in several programming assignments, by means of a notice and scripting language such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP. Apart from programming language, the course also includes basic architectural patterns, such as the CARE UNIT and MVVM, guidelines for design of user interfaces as well as software tools for development of web applications. Furthermore, non-functional requirements are introduced such as safety, response time and student completion.
