Intended learning outcomes
After completing the course, participants should be able to
- explain the principles of wireless communication
- explain the principles of design of simple passive and active microwave components
- explain the principles of design and application of simple antennas
- explain the design of radio transmitters and radio receivers
- explain basic concepts and methods of telecommunications warfare
- measure and generate signals using a spectrum analyser and signal generator
- measure and characterise components using a network analyser
in order to increase the skills of the command company's technical personnel in the radio area to enable effective work, individually and in teams, with technical development that maintains the defence's competence in radio.

At least 90% attendance is required. Absence can be compensated with special replacement tasks after contact with the examiner. If these are not completed before the end of the course, the module must be retaken in its entirety at a later course opportunity.
