Intended learning outcomes
Since this is an individual course whose contents varies depending on the students project ideas and previous knowledge, the individual learning outcomes will vary for each student.
The general learning outcomes is that the student after the course should be able to:
- Make a detailed plan of a smaller research project from a coarse plan
- Critically value experimental results from known knowledge and the goals of the project
- Document the project’s goals, approach and results
- Plan for relevant publication of the project

Examination
- EXAM - Examination, 7.5 credits, grading scale: A, B, C, D, E, FX, F
Based on recommendation from KTH’s coordinator for disabilities, the examiner will decide how to adapt an examination for students with documented disability.
The examiner may apply another examination format when re-examining individual students.
Other requirements for final grade
Finalized project with written and oral documenation.
Grading is similar to that of degree project.
Opportunity to complete the requirements via supplementary examination
Opportunity to raise an approved grade via renewed examination
