Intended learning outcomes
The expected learning outcomes for the course are mainly at the levels B1/B2 according to CEFR, Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
On completion of the course, in addition to what is evident from courses at a lower level, the student should be able to:
Listening comprehension
· understand the contents in clear standard speech about general subject areas/phenomena (B2)
Reading comprehension
· understand and account for authentic texts that deal with current topics related to scientific subjects and working life (B2)
Oral production and interaction
· talk and argue in an informal way about subjects of personal interest or linked to the students' studies, work or current events (B1)
· summarise texts of general and/or technical nature orally (B1/B2)
· hold an individually prepared talk of specialised nature (B1/B2)
Written production
· summarise texts of general and/or technical nature in writing (B1/B2)
· write a report or an essay of discussing/argumentative nature (B1/B2)
