The course teaches and explains the communication forms of project organizations and the tools that can be used to enable formal and informal communication. The course is possible to take as a separate course. It is also included in the course profile series on Project Communication and IT. Intended learning outcomes
After finished course the participants should be able to understand the communication forms of project organizations and be familiar with the interplay between formal and informal communication. The participants should realize the dynamics of human direct communication and information exchange via different media, and also be familiar with how geographically distributed project work can be organized and managed through communication processes and information technology. The participants should know about tools for communication and their use in different process stages, and be able to outline a communication plan for a project.

Other requirements for final grade
Active participation on mandatory course events. The main examination of the course consists of writing an essay which describes a communication plan proposal for a project. The essay is written in groups of 3-5 course participants.
