Content and learning outcomes

Course contents

The course has both compulsory and recommended literature on management problems at different levels within an industrial and technical contex, as well as how one can analyse and investigate them. The recommended literature is aimed at making it possible for the students to choose a field of knowledge linked to his/her specilisation and/or the problems s/he will meet in working life. The course is based on the student´s capacity to work independently in project form and synthesize knowledge from many different sources. The importance of being able to analyse an organisation from different perspectives as Human Resources, structure, culture and politics will be emphasised.

Intended learning outcomes

The aim of the course is to achieve deeper understanding of industrial and technical management and to prepare the student to study problems so complex in their nature that their solution requires competence from more than one field
