Content and learning outcomes

Course contents

The course covers commonly used mechanical components in technical systems, how they work and are used.

Intended learning outcomes

After passing the course, the student shall be able to:

- describe and explain key concepts of mechanical components of technical systems

- select components using selection processes, analyses and dimensioning based on specific functional, maintenance and reliability requirements

- perform and present simple analyses of technical components

- describe and explain the principles of maintenance and reliability of components of machinery

Examination

  • INL1 - Hand-in assignments, 3.0 credits, grading scale: A, B, C, D, E, FX, F
  • TEN1 - Written exam, 1.5 credits, grading scale: A, B, C, D, E, FX, F
