Intended learning outcomes
- The student should, after attendance of the course, have obtained:
Knowledge of the preconditions required for succesful assebly - Knowledge of assembly principles, as well as of the the components that constitute assembly systems (both manual ans automatic)
- Knowledge of the modifications and design changes required to adapt product designs to the successful implementation of assembly systems
- Knowledge of design methods, especially Design for Automatic Assembly
- Knowledge of how assembly systems interact with the other production processes
- Knowledge of how assembly system development projects are structured and managed
- Knowledge of theresearch&development work in the given topic

Based on recommendation from KTH’s coordinator for disabilities, the examiner will decide how to adapt an examination for students with documented disability.
