Intended learning outcomes

  • The student should, after attendance of the course, have obtained:
    Knowledge of the preconditions required for succesful assebly
  • Knowledge of assembly principles, as well as of the the components that constitute assembly systems (both manual ans automatic)
  • Knowledge of the modifications and design changes required to adapt product designs to the successful implementation of assembly systems
  • Knowledge of design methods, especially Design for Automatic Assembly
  • Knowledge of how assembly systems interact with the other production processes
  • Knowledge of how assembly system development projects are structured and managed
  • Knowledge of theresearch&development work in the given topic

  • TEN1 - Examination, 7.0 credits, grading scale: A, B, C, D, E, FX, F

Based on recommendation from KTH’s coordinator for disabilities, the examiner will decide how to adapt an examination for students with documented disability.

The examiner may apply another examination format when re-examining individual students.

If the course is discontinued, students may request to be examined during the following two academic years.
