Content and learning outcomes

Course contents

Industrial development project with company.

Examples of topics that may be addressed are: Customer and user viewpoints, market demands, teamwork, project planning, project management, environmental product development,concept generation, valuation and support methods in product development and product design.

Intended learning outcomes

After the course, the student should be able to:

  • Develop his own and the organisation's working method in product development and suggest improvements for a more efficient work/working method
  • Develop and carry out a project plan for product development projects
  • Identify and evaluate his own behaviour in working groups and relate this to the dynamics of the working group
  • Identify and apply relevant knowledge and collect information to be able to solve product development problems
  • Identify, prioritise and apply relevant design parameters for the product development, such as: Customer and user viewpoints, legal requirements, environmental impact and production aspects
  • Present different problems and their solutions, orally, in writing and by means of relevant physical models
  • Identify and apply different behaviour and standpoints regarding ethnicity, diversity, ethics, gender, etc.
  • Identify and consider errors and risks related to technical and organizational problems

  • PRO1 - Project, 6.5 credits, grading scale: A, B, C, D, E, FX, F
  • RED1 - Presentation, 6.5 credits, grading scale: P, F
