  • Literature study or information search that presents state-of-the-art knowledge within the field of technology

  • Report with an emphasis on analyses, results, independent conclusions and recommendations

Intended learning outcomes

On completion of the course, the student should:

  • Identify need for safety analysis
  • Suggest appropriate/necessary measures to eliminate risks and safety issues within a production section
  • be able to apply knowledge and skills that have been acquired during the education, on real problems
  • independently be able to analyse and process a larger problem within the field of technology
  • Be able to document and present his work for given target group with requirements on structure, formalities and language

Course Disposition

Individual assignment or work in groups. Part of the project is carried out at an industrial company.

A main part of the studies, at least 120 credits, should be completed, as well as the advanced studies that are required for the work.

Examination

  • RED1 - Mid Term Presentation, 4,0 hp, betygsskala: P, F
  • RED2 - Final Presentation, 10,0 hp, betygsskala: A, B, C, D, E, FX, F

Based on recommendation from KTH’s coordinator for disabilities, the examiner will decide how to adapt an examination for students with documented disability.

The examiner may apply another examination format when re-examining individual students.

The examination is in the form of a written report. Any or all aids are allowed.
