Basic probability theory, including
• basic theorems and definitions
• common probability distributions
• concepts within reliability
Basic statistics, including
• descriptive statistics
• point and interval estimation
• hypothesis testing
• regression analysis
After completed course, the students should be able to:
• choose and use methods, as well as understand concepts from the different areas of the course, to solve both theoretical and applied problems in statistics and probability theory
• follow and conduct mathematical reasoning to solve and present solutions in a structured manner, with correct mathematical language
